How did Front Desk USA get Started?

Front Desk USA was the brain child of Bob and Cindy Northcutt from Katy, Texas. They were frequent business travelers in the 90's. They were constantly asking the front desk staff at their hotel for directions to what ever they needed. They decided to publish a guide that would help other travelers locate restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. and services they needed in the local area. It would be a guide like no other, with a reference map for the traveler's convenience. In 1997, the Northcutts started publishing the Front Desk USA in Houston Texas, and surrounding areas.. .Their son Bryan joined them in the year 2000 to help develop the Austin, TX area... In 2005 Travel Dogs became the master license holder and started an extensive expansion to include publishers across the United States.
